Job Description
Locum4Nurses is looking for Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioners in Lytham St Annes.
About the role
You’ll be joining a forward‑thinking practice environment where calm clinical judgement and reliable cover make a real difference. The assignment suits someone who can prioritise quickly, communicate clearly, and maintain quality in every consultation.
Responsibilities
You will take ownership of booked appointments, working efficiently while ensuring patients feel listened to and understood.
- Coordinate with reception and clinicians to keep clinics running on time.
- Complete structured assessments and triage where appropriate.
- Support chronic disease reviews and health promotion.
- Work within prescribing and safeguarding standards.
- Deliver face‑to‑face and remote consultations.
- Manage minor illness, urgent presentations and ongoing care plans.
Where appropriate, you’ll coordinate with the wider team for referrals, tests, and onward care.
Requirements
To be successful, you’ll bring proven general practice experience and the ability to work confidently with minimal supervision.
- A strong understanding of clinical governance and infection prevention.
- Excellent written notes, coding and communication.
- Confidence working independently and escalating appropriately.
- Active NMC registration and right to work in the UK.
- A patient‑focused approach with calm professionalism under pressure.
- Recent primary care experience in a similar role.
You’ll approach every patient interaction with professionalism, empathy and clear safety‑netting.
