Locum4Nurses is looking for Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioners in London.
About the role
A well‑run surgery is seeking experienced nursing support to maintain excellent access and continuity for patients. The day-to-day is clinically varied, with opportunities to use assessment skills, long‑term condition management and acute presentations. Your role is to provide dependable cover while supporting the practice’s approach to evidence‑based care.
Responsibilities
You’ll contribute to day‑to‑day access by running booked clinics and helping the team manage demand safely.
- Manage minor illness, urgent presentations and ongoing care plans.
- Complete structured assessments and triage where appropriate.
- Coordinate with reception and clinicians to keep clinics running on time.
- Maintain high‑quality clinical notes and coding.
- Support chronic disease reviews and health promotion.
- Deliver face‑to‑face and remote consultations.
You’ll maintain professional boundaries, safeguarding awareness, and patient confidentiality throughout.
Requirements
To be successful, you’ll bring proven general practice experience and the ability to work confidently with minimal supervision.
- Confidence working independently and escalating appropriately.
- Excellent written notes, coding and communication.
- Experience with long‑term condition management and health checks.
- A patient‑focused approach with calm professionalism under pressure.
- Active NMC registration and right to work in the UK.
- Recent primary care experience in a similar role.
You’ll understand the importance of coding, quality indicators and consistent clinical standards.
