Job Description

Locum4Nurses is looking for Locum Nurse Practitioners in Bromyard.

About the role

This locum opportunity supports a busy primary care service with a strong focus on safe, patient‑centred decision making. The day-to-day is clinically varied, with opportunities to use assessment skills, long‑term condition management and acute presentations. You’ll balance clinical efficiency with a warm, reassuring patient experience, keeping care safe and well documented.

Responsibilities

You’ll contribute to day‑to‑day access by running booked clinics and helping the team manage demand safely.

  • Manage minor illness, urgent presentations and ongoing care plans.
  • Complete structured assessments and triage where appropriate.
  • Work within prescribing and safeguarding standards.
  • Deliver face‑to‑face and remote consultations.
  • Support chronic disease reviews and health promotion.
  • Maintain high‑quality clinical notes and coding.

You’ll also support safe handovers and ensure actions are clearly recorded for continuity.

Requirements

You should be comfortable running your own sessions, using guidelines wisely, and keeping records tidy and accurate.

  • Experience with long‑term condition management and health checks.
  • Excellent written notes, coding and communication.
  • Recent primary care experience in a similar role.
  • Active NMC registration and right to work in the UK.
  • A strong understanding of clinical governance and infection prevention.
  • Confidence working independently and escalating appropriately.

You’ll understand the importance of coding, quality indicators and consistent clinical standards.

What’s offered

We aim to make locum work simple: clear expectations, quick compliance checks, and reliable booking communication.

  • Repeat work opportunities across multiple practices.
  • Competitive locum rates with transparent booking support.
  • Support from a recruiter who understands primary care rotas.
  • Flexible session patterns to fit around other commitments.

You’ll get timely updates, sensible preparation notes, and a single point of contact for changes.
