Job Description

Locum4Nurses is looking for Locum Nurse Practitioners in Llandovery.

About the role

You’ll be joining a forward‑thinking practice environment where calm clinical judgement and reliable cover make a real difference. You’ll help protect access for patients by delivering consistent, high‑standard clinics and reliable continuity.

Responsibilities

The practice expects strong clinical organisation, accurate records, and sensible escalation when needed.

  • Coordinate with reception and clinicians to keep clinics running on time.
  • Manage minor illness, urgent presentations and ongoing care plans.
  • Support chronic disease reviews and health promotion.
  • Deliver face‑to‑face and remote consultations.
  • Work within prescribing and safeguarding standards.
  • Maintain high‑quality clinical notes and coding.

You will follow local pathways and document decisions so the team has a clear clinical narrative.

Requirements

To be successful, you’ll bring proven general practice experience and the ability to work confidently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent written notes, coding and communication.
  • A patient‑focused approach with calm professionalism under pressure.
  • Evidence of up‑to‑date mandatory training and immunisations.
  • Active NMC registration and right to work in the UK.
  • Recent primary care experience in a similar role.
  • Confidence working independently and escalating appropriately.

You’ll approach every patient interaction with professionalism, empathy and clear safety‑netting.
